On Film With Feeling

The name ‘On Film With Feeling’ comes from, or rather is, of sorts, an ode to Nick Cave and the motion picture documenting the recording of his album Skeleton Tree. I have not seen this film, but I like Nick Cave very much, and I very much like the name.
On Film with Feeling is a mixed-media photographic and print project involving the Hasselblad Xpan and illustrations of Haida Supernaturals. The project aims to illustrate the fluidity between two worlds: the land and waterscapes of Haida Gwaii and that of the Haida supernaturals overlaid.
This project has resulted in a total of five finished prints, framed and signed by Alyson Bell, the illustrator of the graphic piece, and me. The framed prints will be gifted to The Haida Gwaii Museum in late October, 2026.
